Weight stigma and anti-fat bias is pervasive in our culture and in our healthcare system, but where does it come from and what are its impacts on the health and wellness of our communities? Please join the APTA-Oregon Cultural and Minority Affairs Committee, with guest speaker Amy Frasieur, for an intersectional discussion of the origins of anti-fatness, current evidence on weight and health, and evidence-based approaches to helping our patients stay healthy without perpetuating harm.
