We will begin our monthly component meetings in February! Please join us on the first Saturday of each month from 10 am to 12 pm to connect with colleagues and learn. The first hour will be for networking and discussing component business. The second hour will be for learning. One (1) CE credit will be awarded to members attending the second hour.

This meeting is offered for in-person attendance only. Live interaction is important for networking and getting a feel for what our component is all about! Also, collaborating with colleagues enhances our learning. I like to think of our ODHA components as the "grass roots" of our amazing professional organization. If we keep our roots strong and nourished, the entire organization will thrive!

For February's meeting, we will discuss our vision and plans for the NW Component. Your voice is important! Then, we will have a quick workshop on Staging and Grading Periodontitis. Hopefully, most dental offices are utilizing the 2018 AAP Classification of Periodontal and Peri‑implant Disease. It's 2024 people!!  I am always intrigued when I hear a hygienist say they don't use the "new" system. The most common reason I hear is lack of practice. Practice provides the skills we need when working with patients.

For those of you who attended last year's course on this topic, you'll be glad to know there will be five new case studies to tackle. This course will provide a brief intro and time to work on cases. Keep in mind, it is not a comprehensive course on the topic.
