The Grand Hotel is attached to the Salem Convention Center and uses the underground parking garage and other nearby options. The location of overflow parking lots is on the link above and also attached to this email. Please bring this information with you in case the lot is full when you arrive. Conference attendees can park in the underground parking garage, even if you are not staying at the Grand Hotel.

 

The Oregon Dental Hygiene Conference is on the first AND second floor of the Salem Convention Center. Check in for your name badge is on the 2nd Floor. No check in process - just pick up your name badge.

CONFERENCE SCHEDULE
The conference schedule is listed on the website HERE. When you arrive you will receive a Program and Name Badge. Registration is on the second floor. You are free to attend classes that you choose. If you prefer to attend a different class than for what you registered, you do have that flexibility.

CE Process and Notification
We will have a QR code and website that attendees will use to show that they have attended a class. The QR code will be available near the entrance to each class and around the classroom. It will also be available at the Registration desk. Attendees will also be able to access the website after the Conference with a deadline of Monday, November 4th at 11:59 pm to complete this task. A reminder will be sent to all attendees after the Conference with the link and deadline.

All CE will be applied to the ODHA record of each attendee within 2 weeks after the Conference. An email will be sent to everyone when that is complete so they know they can access and download their CE through their ODHA record.

Speaker Handouts
A post-conference email will be sent out the week of November 4th, with website links to any handouts shared by speakers. Not all speakers will have handouts, but we will share any we receive.

Thursday evening, October 31st
For those of you who will be arriving Thursday evening, there is an informal gathering of the ODHA leaders at Bentley’s Restaurant in the Liberty Room (Bentley’s is located near the hotel front desk) starting at 6:00 pm.

Meals
If you are staying at the Grand Hotel, a free hot breakfast is provided each day. It is a chef-prepared breakfast buffet served each morning and complimentary for every guest staying in the hotel. The hours are Monday – Friday, 6:30 am – 10 am and Saturday & Sunday, 7 am – 10:30 am.

ODHA will be providing coffee, juice and very light breakfast items each morning to Conference attendees. For those who have pre-registered, we will have a buffet lunch on Friday and Saturday, in addition to Exhibitor Breaks with light snacks.

Sponsor Appreciation Luncheon – Friday, November 1st at 12:00 pm
For those who have pre-registered for this luncheon, we will be recognizing and thanking our Conference Sponsors and Exhibitors. We are excited to have a presentation from our keynote speaker, Tina Clarke RDH, ME.d.

President’s Reception – Friday, November 1st at 5 pm
We will open the ODHA President’s Reception to celebrate our association and our volunteer leaders. There will be light hors d’oeuvres, beverages (2 tickets provided for free beverages, then a cash bar. (Wine, beer or soft drinks). Feel free to go into the reception right after class, or if you want to go up to your room for a few minutes, feel free to do so as this event will go until 7:00 pm. After the Reception, Bentley’s Restaurant has a Friday evening Happy Hour from 9:00 – 10:00 pm and there are a number of good restaurants within walking distance of the Hotel. Information sheet on Restaurants is at Registration.

Awards Luncheon - Saturday, November 11 at 12:00 pm
For those that have pre-registered, we look forward to you joining us as we recognize our industry and present special awards.

Finding your classroom
There will be two classrooms on the first floor, both located in the Santiam Ballroom – Classroom 1-3 and Classroom 4- 6. There is one classroom on the second floor where Registration is located. Croisan B & C.
You have the option to change classes from what you originally registered for.

BINGO! Visit the Exhibitors
We want you to stop at all of the exhibit tables! A Bingo Card will be given to each attendee at Registration check-in. The cards are generated randomly so not all will be the same. When you stop by to visit with the Exhibitors, you will need to get a sign-off that you visited their table. You will need to have at least 11 exhibitors marked off to enter your card. There is a bowl for you to drop them in at Registration. A winner will be drawn from the completed Bingo Cards and announced at the Saturday Awards Luncheon (winner must be present to win). The top prize is an Interoral Camera donated by MouthWatch and the next prize is Complimentary Registration to the 2025 ODHA Conference.

Bring Your Water Bottle
There are water bottle refill stations around the Salem Convention Center so be sure to bring your refillable water bottle.

Other food options
If you have not pre-registered for meals, there are several restaurants nearby. The ODHA Registration Desk will have a list for you.

ASK ME
ODHA volunteers will be wearing a colorful “ASK ME” sticker. They will be able to answer questions about the Conference or about ODHA.
